Roys Peak is a very popular hike, found just outside of Wanaka in New Zealand. It’s straight up to the top but with beautiful views all the way.
The track starts by going through farmland. A friend and I did this hike during lambing season and saw plenty of playful and silly lambs. There are wild roses growing around too – perfect for photos.
Eventually, we reached the National Park with tussock grass and a track that just keeps zig-zagging up! We played a game of guessing which peak we were heading to and I guessed wrong.
